Waterloo, April 1967 - Merchant Navy 4-6-2 35008 "Orient Line" leaves Waterloo on a Bournemouth Express. Built in 1942 at Eastleigh and rebuilt in the fifties, this machine was scrapped in Wales sometime in 1968.

Brighton Belle at Coulsdon North, May 1967. My Grandad was a regular driver on this turn, although I don't recall whether he was driving on this occasion.

August 2008 - The Yamanote Line, Tokyo's equivalent of London's Circle Line, but overground. A great way of passing a morning on a single ticket, which takes you round the city.
